Depending on the severity of the offense, you might face jail time, or fines. You might have your license suspended or revoked. And there’s a good chance that you’ll be required to have in ignition interlock installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if you have been drinking.

You may also be required to attend a Victim Impact Panel.  The purpose of this panel is to stress that the act of driving while intoxicated is an anti social act with potentially lethal or deadly consequences.  Participation in the Victim Impact Panel is just as important a deterrent as fines, jail time, and the Ignition Interlock Device. The purpose of the Victim Impact Panel is to show the motorist the potential consequences of Driving While Intoxicated. 

The Victim Impact Panel is comprised of people whose lives have been affected by drunk driving. They tell of their story of injury to them caused by a drunk driver or of injury or death to a loved one caused by a drunk driver.
